Nace Fotofund, el primer portal de ‘crowdfunding’ dedicado solo a proyectos de fotografía
La plataforma de micromecenazgo en línea quiere apoyar a los fotógrafos independientes para que encuentren financiación. No tiene afán de lucro y está promovida por la Lucie Foundation de Los Ángeles. Entre los primeros proyectos hay un estudio sobre la melancolía, la organización de dos archivos históricos, un reportaje sobre niños abandonados en Filipinas…
A las cada vez más numerosas plataformas en línea de crowdfunding (micromecenazgo, financiación colectiva) se acaba de sumar Fotofund, cuya característica diferencial es que sólo admitirá proyectos relacionados directamente con la fotografía. El nuevo portal, promovido sin ánimo de lucro por la Lucie Foundation de Los Ángeles (EE UU), ya aloja una docena de propuestas de artistas independientes que buscan la aportación voluntaria de dinero para llegar a término.
La iniciativa quiere “descubrir” a nuevos creadores y “promover el reconocimiento de la fotografía en todo el mundo”, así como brindar un punto de encuentro que permita a los creadores “desarrollar una red” para “apoyarse unos a otros”, dicen los promotores de Fotofund. La Lucie Foundation, que organiza anualmente un premio internacional de fotografía, se quedará con el cuatro por ciento de las cantidades recaudadas para “reinvertirlas” en sus propias actividades, que no tienen afán comercial.Ver más en: http://www.20minutos.es/noticia/2214159/0/fotofund/crowdfunding/fotografia/#xtor=AD-15&xts=467263
